Priscilla Vilchis (also known as The HollyWeed Queen) is a Latina entrepreneur and medical consultant who was the first woman to obtain licenses to cultivate and produce medical and retail (recreational) cannabis in Nevada, United States.
Vilchis is known for being the CEO and founder of Premium Produce, which is a company that sells marijuana-based products. She is also the founder of the "Reina" (Queen in Spanish) Cannabis line.
Early Life[editar]
Priscila Vilchis grew up in a Latino Catholic family environment in Los Angeles, United States, and in her 20s working as a medical consultant for Southern California’s premier physicians.
At 28 years old, Vilchis decided to enter the medical marijuana business to create an alternative to the opioids that she claims she saw destroy people and their families.
After failing to secure funding from any financial institution, Vilchis invested $2 million of her wealth to build the pioneering company Premium Produce.
Career[editar]
As founder and CEO of Premium Produce, Vilchis became the first woman and the youngest person to obtain a license to produce marijuana in Nevada, United States in 2014.
In 2017, Vilchis was recognized as the first Latina and the first woman to receive a license to produce Cannabis in California, United States.
She is the creator of the brand "Reina" (Queen in Spanish), which is recognized as the primary source of Non-GMO CBD oils.
Vilchis has been featured in Bloomberg, Telemundo, Forbes, CNN Money, and LA Weekly. He has also been featured on the cover of Cannabis Business Times and has starred in television segments with CNN-HLN, NBC, CBS, Telemundo, and LATV's 'The Zoo'
She has also been a speaker for the first-ever graduating class of the USC Iovine and Young Academy and Teens Exploring Technology (TXT).
Vilchis maintains his company Premium Produce with a 25,000 square foot facility (laboratory and cultivation) located in Las Vegas, United States, which had an investment of US$ 11 million in its construction.
